Cựu Tổng thống Singapore được phong tặng bằng danh dự từ NUS

14,729 graduates from the NUS Class of 2023 celebrate their achievements in the presence of their loved ones and the university community.

 

Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam (left) was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws and Dr Margaret Chan (right) was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science on 6 July 2023.

 

The National University of Singapore (NUS) kicks off its annual graduation celebrations today with the conferment of honorary degrees on two outstanding leaders and alumni:  Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, Former President of the Republic of Singapore; and Dr Margaret Chan, Founding Dean of Vanke School of Public Health at Tsinghua University, and Emeritus Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO).

The Honorary Degree is NUS’ highest form of recognition for outstanding individuals who have rendered distinguished service and had a great impact in Singapore and globally.
